Nice meeting you at GDC!

Thanks for contacting us — we received your request. We'll carefully review your submission details to understand your game an backend requirements before scheduling a technical session.

Want to discuss your backend architecture sooner?

Studios evaluating Namazu Elements often want to review their backend architecture with the actual developers who built the system. A short technical consultation with us allows your team to walk through the game systems you are planning and understand how those systems map to a Namazu Elements backend.

The conversation typically covers how you intend to handle:

  • Player accounts and authentication architecture
  • Multiplayer session and matchmaking systems
  • Game state synchronization and APIs
  • Hosting and infrastructure options
  • Whether your team should self-host or use managed infrastructure

This session is exploratory. The goal is to determine whether Namazu Elements fits your game and development timeline.

In the meantime:

Our Story

What does ナマズ (Namazu) mean?

"Namazu" (meaning "catfish") is a reference to the legendary giant fish that is said to support (and sometimes shake up) the earth. It is featured in legends and groundbreaking video games we've played  over the years like Final Fantasy, Lufia 2, and Pokemon.

Namazu Studios is a myth-fueled game studio. We created the open source backend platform Namazu Elements, unleashing seismic shifts in how games are made, shared, and scaled.
